Trainee Marketing Assistant
CNG | Full-time | Monday to Friday | On-site
Enjoy meeting people, asking questions and helping someone understand something new? At CNG, we’re looking for a Trainee Marketing Assistant who brings curiosity, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
You’ll support brand activation, events and face-to-face marketing campaigns, learning how to represent clients and communicate their messages clearly. From preparing for a campaign to understanding the responses it receives, you’ll gain practical experience with support from the team.
Your part in each campaign
You’ll start by understanding the client, the audience and what the campaign is designed to achieve. Team briefings and training will help you prepare before taking part in live activity.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Helping prepare campaign materials and checking that information is current.
- Supporting promotional events and brand activation activity.
- Starting conversations with members of the public and identifying relevant interest.
- Explaining approved products, services and campaign messages accurately.
- Recording engagement, audience feedback and campaign outcomes.
- Sharing useful observations with colleagues and working towards agreed quality and performance measures.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
