Join our team while completing a Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer Apprenticeship. Gain hands-on experience in social media, digital content, email campaigns, graphics, branding, and reporting. No experience required. Four days workplace learning and one protected day each week for training, study, and portfolio development.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Content and Campaigns:

  • Helping to create content for websites, social media, newsletters, email campaigns, events, and promotional materials
  • Drafting social media posts, website copy, campaign messages, and other communications
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Gathering information, images, case studies, and other content from colleagues and partners
  • Helping to maintain campaign calendars, project trackers, and deadlines
  • Supporting product launches, events, and other promotional activity

Images, Graphics, and Digital Material:

  • Creating images, graphics, and visual content for digital and printed marketing materials
  • Producing digital displays, campaign materials, proposals, and presentations
  • Using tools such as Canva, PowerPoint, and other design or content-creation software
  • Adapting approved templates for different audiences, campaigns, and communication channels
  • Helping to maintain a central library of images, logos, templates, and design assets
  • Ensuring visual materials are accurate, accessible, and consistent with the organisation’s brand

Digital and Social Media:

  • Uploading and publishing approved content across websites, social media, and other digital platforms
  • Scheduling posts and updates in line with content calendars and campaign plans
  • Adapting content so that it is suitable for different platforms and audiences
  • Checking published content for accuracy, formatting, accessibility, and working links
  • Monitoring basic engagement and escalating messages or enquiries where appropriate

Email Marketing and Data:

  • Supporting the creation, checking, and scheduling of email campaigns and newsletters
  • Using email marketing and customer relationship management systems
  • Helping to maintain accurate marketing contact lists
  • Following organisational procedures relating to GDPR, consent, and data protection
  • Reviewing basic email performance measures, including open and click-through rates

Brand and Quality:

  • Learning and applying the organisation’s brand and tone-of-voice guidelines
  • Proofreading materials for spelling, grammar, accuracy, and consistency
  • Checking that marketing materials meet agreed quality and accessibility standards
  • Helping colleagues locate and use approved marketing templates and resources
  • Identifying and raising potential errors or inconsistencies before content is published

Reporting and Administration:

  • Collecting basic performance information from websites, social media, and email platforms
  • Helping to produce campaign reports, summaries, and presentations
  • Maintaining organised records of marketing activity and completed campaigns
  • Supporting general marketing administration and coordination
  • Contributing ideas during team meetings and campaign planning sessions

Where you'll work

This is a remote working position, but there is a requirement to meet up from time to time. This may involve an overnight stay depending on where and when (paid for by the company).

What you'll learn

Course contents

  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive, and is on brand
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are coordinated and legally compliant
  • Use a content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets
  • Use technology and software packages to support day-to-day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations, and project management
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement
  • Use data analysis tools to record, interpret, and analyse customer or campaign data

Training schedule

The programme includes:

  • 13 months of structured training and workplace development
  • Up to five additional months to complete the End-Point Assessment
  • One protected training and study day each week
  • Support from an apprenticeship tutor, your line manager, and experienced colleagues
  • Opportunities to apply your learning to live marketing campaigns and projects
  • The development of a professional portfolio demonstrating your marketing skills and experience
  • Regular progress reviews, coaching, and feedback

You will be expected to attend training sessions, complete coursework and assessments, maintain your portfolio, and take an active role in your own professional development.

The Apprentice Training Program will be delivered through a structured online training programme including on and off the job training facilitated in the workplace.

Essential qualifications

  • GCSE in:
    • English (grade 5-9 or A-C)
    • Maths (grade 5-9 or A-C)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to demonstrate a competent level of IT skills.

In particular, you should be able to provide examples of your ability or experience in:

  • Creating and editing digital images
  • Producing graphics and visual content
  • Creating digital displays and promotional materials
  • Preparing professional proposals and documents
  • Designing clear and engaging presentations
  • Using standard office applications, including presentation and document-creation software
  • Learning and using new digital platforms and systems

Your examples do not need to come from paid employment. They may have been developed through education, volunteering, work experience, community activities, personal projects, or social media content.

Experience using tools such as Canva, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms would be helpful. You should clearly explain the tools you have used and the materials you have created within your application.
