Trainee Mortgage Broker | £30,000 Basic + Structured Training + Clear Progression into Mortgage Broking

Ready to Take the Next Step into Mortgage Broking?

This is a genuine trainee Mortgage Broker programme designed for ambitious professionals who understand the mortgage process and want to build a long-term career advising clients across residential and commercial property finance.

Working alongside highly successful brokers, you'll receive structured training, hands-on mentoring and real client exposure, developing the technical, advisory and relationship-building skills needed to become a confident Mortgage Broker.

About the Role

You'll work closely with experienced brokers, gaining first-hand exposure to client meetings, lender negotiations and complex funding solutions while building the confidence to manage your own cases.

During your 6-12 month development programme, you'll gradually take on greater responsibility as your knowledge and experience grow. By the end of your training, you'll be equipped to manage your own client portfolio and advise across residential and commercial property finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mortgage applications, ensuring cases progress efficiently and compliantly.
  • Liaise with lenders, solicitors, valuers and clients to keep transactions moving.
  • Research suitable mortgage and finance solutions for a wide range of client requirements.
  • Gather and assess client documentation while maintaining accurate, compliant records.
  • Assist in preparing funding recommendations and mortgage solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and professional introducers.
  • Develop advisory, sales and business development skills through ongoing mentoring.
  • Progress towards managing your own client portfolio as part of the structured development programme.

  • Salary £30,000

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience as a Mortgage Administrator, Mortgage Case Manager or Mortgage Paraplanner
  • Good understanding of the mortgage application process and lender requirements.
  • CeMAP qualified
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness and a genuine desire to build a career in mortgage advice.
  • Proactive, professional and client-focused approach.
