Trainee Mortgage & Protection Adviser – In-House Academy
Wealthmax Financial Advisers Ltd is looking for ambitious individuals who want to build a career as a Mortgage & Protection Adviser.
No previous mortgage experience is required. Our structured In-House Academy will support you through your CeMAP qualification, practical adviser training and progression towards Competent Adviser Status (CAS).
Your Training Journey
Stage 1 – CeMAP Academy
- 3-month UN-PAID training internship
- You will receive trainer-led, in-person learning covering:
- CeMAP Level 3 preparation
- UK mortgages and protection
- FCA regulations and compliance
- Fact-finding and client needs analysis
- Mortgage sourcing and research
- Client communication and professional skills
Stage 2 – Adviser Development
After completing CeMAP, you will develop the practical and commercial skills needed to become an adviser. You will:
- Attend interactive adviser training
- Practise client meetings and fact-finds
- Develop mortgage and protection recommendation skills
- Learn client acquisition and business development
- Shadow experienced advisers
- Build confidence through practical case studies and assessments

Stage 3 – Work Towards CAS & Progressing towards Paid Role
You will progress into supervised client advice and workplace learning for up to 12 months, depending on your development and competency. You will:
- Meet clients under supervision
- Build mortgage and protection cases
- Develop your own client relationships
- Receive coaching, observations and compliance feedback
- Work towards Competent Adviser Status (CAS)
- Develop your own client bank and long-term adviser career
