I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ll support the Home Purchase team with the day-to-day processing of Lifetime ISA withdrawals, helping customers access their savings to purchase their first home and ensuring funds are released accurately and efficiently.

A key part of the role will involve reviewing and processing home purchase withdrawal requests, checking supporting documentation and liaising with customers, conveyancers and solicitors to make sure all the necessary information is in place before funds can be released.

You’ll also liaise with HMRC and internal stakeholders across Savings Operations, Compliance, Finance and Customer Service to resolve queries, manage cases and ensure withdrawals are processed in line with our processes and regulatory requirements.

You’ll work closely with the wider Savings team, learning about Lifetime ISA regulations, the home buying journey and the processes involved in releasing funds to conveyancers and solicitors.

As you develop in the role, you’ll have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities, contribute ideas for improving processes and build your knowledge of Lifetime ISAs, home purchases and financial services.
