You support our team as Trainee Painter
Responsibilities
As a Trainee Painter, you will receive training and practical experience in the following areas:
- Setting up and operating spray-painting equipment safely and effectively.
- Mixing paints and coating materials to the correct specifications to ensure a consistent finish.
- Preparing surfaces for coating, including cleaning, sanding, and masking as required.
- Applying primer coats where necessary in accordance with work instructions.
- Applying final coats to a high standard, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Inspecting completed products to ensure they meet quality and customer requirements.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, including the cleaning and maintenance of spray equipment and the surrounding work area.
- Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- An interest in painting, coating, or manufacturing processes and a willingness to learn.
- Good concentration levels and the ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Good practical and hands-on skills.
- A safety-conscious approach to work and a commitment to following health and safety procedures.
- Good hand-to-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Normal colour vision to ensure accurate colour matching and quality inspection.
- A positive attitude towards learning new skills and accepting feedback.
- Willingness to undertake training in surface preparation, blasting, spraying, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping, and attention to detail.
- A reliable and flexible approach to work.
