About The Role

We are looking for an organised and proactive Trainee Paraplanner to join a growing financial planning business in Swindon.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in IFA administration or financial services who wants to develop their technical knowledge and progress into paraplanning. Working closely with Financial Advisers and experienced Paraplanners, you will gain exposure to pensions, investments, technical research, and suitability reports while developing the skills needed to take on greater responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Financial Advisers and Paraplanners with client cases and annual reviews.
  • Gather client information, valuations, and policy details from providers.
  • Assist with technical research, product comparisons, and the preparation of suitability reports.
  • Support new business applications and track cases through to completion.
  • Liaise with clients, providers, and colleagues to obtain outstanding information and resolve queries.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Develop technical knowledge of pensions, investments, and the wider financial planning process.

About You

  • Previous experience in IFA administration or financial services is desirable.
  • An understanding of pensions and investments would be beneficial.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Keen to learn, develop technical expertise, and build a long-term career in paraplanning.
  • Interested in working towards the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, if not already studying.
