Are you looking to start a career in the automotive industry? Do you have a keen interest in vehicles, enjoy working with people and have a great eye for detail? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Parts Advisor to join the team at Greenhous Shrewsbury, supporting our OMODA & JAECOO, Vauxhall and Chery brands.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is organised, enthusiastic and eager to learn. Full training will be provided, giving you the opportunity to develop your knowledge of automotive parts and build a successful career within the motor industry.

As a Trainee Parts Advisor, you will work alongside our experienced Parts team, supporting the day-to-day operation of the department while developing your knowledge and skills across a range of vehicle brands.

Salary: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, i.e. 40 hours per week, 1 hour lunch break (unpaid).
Other duties: Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and sourcing the correct parts for vehicles.
  • Assisting with ordering, receiving and distributing vehicle parts.
  • Liaising with suppliers to check availability, pricing and delivery times.
  • Supporting the workshop and vehicle sales teams with their parts requirements.
  • Assisting customers with parts enquiries and providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and assisting with stock checks.
  • Processing orders and updating internal systems.
  • Ensuring parts are stored safely and efficiently.
  • Building positive relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
  • Developing your knowledge of OMODA & JAECOO, Vauxhall and Chery vehicles and their parts.

Ideally, we are looking for:

  • Confident using computers and willing to learn new systems.
  • A team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Able to work in a busy environment and manage multiple tasks.
