Location: Bow Distribution, Amber Business Centre, Charity Road, Riddings, Alfreton, DE55 4BU
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

At Bow Distribution, we'll give you the tools, experience, and support to grow into a skilled Transport Planner. You'll work closely with our operations, planning, and customer service teams to make sure everything runs smoothly- from routing vehicles to meeting customer expectations.
This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who's flexible, curious, and ready to learn how transport really works.
What You'll Be Doing
- Learn all aspects of transport planning- routes, vehicle allocation, and scheduling
- Support day-to-day operations to ensure deliveries are on time and efficient
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and partners to solve problems quickly
- Use planning software and systems to optimise costs and performance
- Help monitor fleet performance, driver hours, and compliance
- Build strong relationships across teams and with customers
- Spot opportunities to improve how we work
- Take on your own planning responsibilities within your first few months

- Enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to learn
- Organised with great attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft 365 and general IT systems
- A clear communicator and team player
- Commercially aware and good at problem solving
- Flexible, reliable, and ready to take ownership
Bonus points if you:
- Have a relevant degree (or equivalent experience)
- Understand UK geography or the transport industry
