Trainee Planning Manager
📍 St Ives, Cambridgeshire
Are you organised, proactive, and looking to build a career in operations and project planning? At Arena Group, we're looking for a Trainee Planning Manager to join our Operations Planning team and play a key role in the successful delivery of major events and temporary structures projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in logistics, operations administration, warehousing, or a similar environment who is keen to develop their skills within a fast-paced and supportive team. On-the-job training will be provided.
The Role
Working closely with the Operations Planning, Projects, Site Operations, Warehouse, and HSEQ teams, you'll help coordinate the resources, equipment, transport, and schedules required to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and coordinating equipment requirements for projects.
- Managing stock availability and identifying solutions to shortages.
- Liaising with Project Managers and Planning Managers to support build schedules.
- Producing loading schedules and coordinating transport bookings.
- Working closely with warehouse teams to ensure equipment is prepared and dispatched correctly.
- Maintaining accurate operational information within company systems.
- Supporting site-to-site stock movements and operational planning activities.
- Producing regular progress reports for the Operations Manager.

About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience in logistics, operations administration, warehousing, or a similar environment.
- Is highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Communicates effectively and enjoys working with a variety of teams.
- Is adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Takes initiative and enjoys solving problems.
- Has good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and passport.
Experience of site-based construction, temporary structures, or event operations would be advantageous but is not essential.
