About The Role

Pertemps Gloucester (Chiltern) Industrial is recruiting a Trainee Process Operative to join a production team in Tewkesbury. This full-time position offers a starting salary of £14.61 per hour, with increases linked to training milestones. You will work 37.5 hours weekly across five shifts between Monday and Sunday, with start times varying from 05:00. Full instruction and industry-recognised qualifications are provided, supporting progression within food manufacturing. About The Role

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Trainee Process Operative on behalf of our client based in Tewkesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, methodical individual to join a growing production team and build a long-term career within the food manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will receive full training, industry-recognised qualifications, and access to a structured development programme with clear progression opportunities. Previous experience within production, machine operation, or food manufacturing would be advantageous, although candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn will also be considered.

Your Development Journey

Trainee Process Operative (6-7 Months)

  • Begin your training within the external tanker bay, ensuring the safe and hygienic intake of raw milk.
  • Complete hands-on practical training alongside a Level 2 Food Safety & HACCP qualification.
  • Receive ongoing support from experienced production staff and the Learning & Development team.

Process Operative Development

Upon Successful Completion Of Your Training Programme, You Will Progress Into a Process Operative Role, With Future Opportunities To Develop Into a Process Technician Position. Further Training Includes:

  • Working with internal tanks and pasteurisation processes.
  • Achieving a Level 3 Food Safety & HACCP qualification.
  • Continued career progression within a successful and growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely intake, control, and process products in a hygienic manufacturing environment.
  • Prepare and operate machinery, including CIP equipment, in line with company standards and food safety regulations.
  • Monitor hygiene, safety, and quality standards throughout production.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support troubleshooting activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow all relevant procedures.
