Location: Thirsk, UK
About the Role
Join our team as a Trainee Industrialization Engineer! We are seeking a food engineering student intern for our Thirsk site for an initial period of six months, with the possibility of contract review thereafter.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collecting and compiling necessary data, and analysing it
- Supporting the industrialization of new products
- Creating a new database for manufacturing instructions
- Supervising hyper-care production on the shop floor
- Supporting process improvements for the industrial spray dryer

Requirements
This role is ideal for individuals who bring:
- A curious approach to problem-solving, seeking innovative solutions and new perspectives
- Comfort with technical aspects of industrial equipment
- Strong communication skills, engaging meaningfully with colleagues at all levels, from shop floor to senior management
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and VBA macros
- A food, chemistry, or related engineering degree
