Trainee Project Controls Engineer
Position: Trainee Project Controls Engineer
Location: Hitchin
Framework: Cadent Framework
Join our successful team on the Cadent Framework based in Hitchin.

The programme will focus on helping you to grow your personal and leadership skills, alongside business and, of course, the technical skills you will learn day-to-day on the job. Our line managers are fully supportive of the trainees and will be involved in helping you along the way.

Responsibilities
- Assisting in the development of scope and Work Breakdown Structures
- Establishment, management, and reporting through Costain project controls systems
- Prepare project reports including financial, resourcing, and schedule analysis
- Generating and maintaining schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Assisting in the development of project proposal estimates
- Potential travel opportunities to work on interstate/international projects
Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree (min 2:1 or equivalent) in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Civil Engineering is preferred
- Be passionate about your field
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Passion for net-zero targets
- Ability to work in a team of diverse individuals to meet common objectives
- Good organisation skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and willingness to ask for help when needed
- IT proficient
- A willingness to learn with appropriate instruction
- Excel at building and maintaining positive relationships
- The ability to thrive in pressured situations
