About The Role

Balfour Beatty Power T&D is recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Quality Engineer / Trainee Quality Advisor to join our team supporting the Net Zero Teesside (NZT) Project in the North East.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to a Senior Quality Engineer/Advisor, Quality Manager or Head of Quality, you will support the delivery of a Right First Time culture across the project through the coordination and implementation of quality assurance activities, quality management processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone with an interest in quality, construction, engineering or infrastructure who is keen to develop their knowledge and experience within a supportive project environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the development and implementation of Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Assisting project teams with quality assurance activities and ensuring requirements are met.
  • Monitoring and reporting quality performance against project and business KPIs.
  • Supporting quality control processes to ensure assets and services are delivered to the required standards.
  • Assisting delivery teams with digital quality and governance systems.
  • Maintaining quality records and supporting local quality management processes.
  • Supporting internal and external audits and helping to track corrective actions.
  • Assisting with the production and handover of project quality documentation.
  • Supporting training and awareness initiatives across project teams.
  • Promoting best practice, lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Assisting with investigations into quality-related issues and supporting improvement actions.
