Trainee Recruitment Consultant

AP Staffing
Baker Street, London — office based
Full time, permanent
Start date: October 2026
£28,000 basic + uncapped commission · OTE £45,000 year one, £70,000 year two, £100,000+ year three

About us

AP Staffing is a specialist SAP contract recruitment business. We place senior SAP consultants into contract roles with major consultancies and end clients across the UK and Europe.

Our clients include international consultancies and manufacturing and technology businesses.

We are a small, high-performing team, and we are growing. This role is one of the first hires into that growth, working directly alongside the founders in a new Baker Street office.

The role

  • No recruitment experience needed. No SAP knowledge needed. We teach both.
  • When a client gives us a requirement, you find the people for it.
  • Search our database, get them on the phone, qualify them, and manage them through to interview and placement.
  • Every candidate call is also a market call. You will be required to gather market intelligence on every conversation — who are they working for, what project, is the client hiring, what are they paying. That intelligence is how we find our next requirement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
