£28,000 base + commission | Fast progression | Team leadership opportunities

We’re working with a specialist technology recruitment business founded by a recruiter with 30 years’ experience across the UK technology recruitment market.

The business is now at an exciting stage of growth, with a team of five and plans to double headcount this year, with the expansion being driven entirely through entry-level talent.

That means there is no established hierarchy or lengthy wait for progression. The people joining now will have the opportunity to grow with the business and take on significant responsibility as it expands.

The role

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you'll join on a 360 desk from day one, working across candidate sourcing, business development, client management, and placements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The focus is exclusively on Software Engineering, covering the UK and European markets. The team has built a strong client base with a significant amount of exclusive recruitment work, giving you the opportunity to work on quality vacancies from the outset.

You'll receive support from experienced recruiters, but this isn't an environment where you'll be restricted to candidate sourcing for your first year. You'll be developing your own clients, candidates, and market from the beginning.

Progression & earnings

The business is deliberately building its future leadership team from within.

There is an opportunity to move into team leadership after 12 months for those who perform, with no requirement to wait for someone else to leave before progressing.

Current members of the team are already earning £80k and £100k respectively, demonstrating the earning potential available to people who perform at a high level.
