Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The Opportunity

  • Realistic opportunity to earn £45k in your first year. The business does things differently and rewards rookies based on arranged interviews rather than placements made; this gives entry-level candidates an opportunity to earn early in their careers.
  • Growing 100% this year, they are looking to continue that trajectory over the next 24 months, with realistic opportunities for the business to reach 20 people by 2028.

The Person

  • Resilience. This job tells you "no" more often than "yes". The people who win are the ones who don’t hear it.
  • Genuine curiosity. About technology, about markets, about why a hedge fund pays £250k for a C++ developer.
  • A competitive streak. Sport, sales, music, anything. They want people who keep score.
  • Something to prove. The best hires here had a chip on their shoulder and a reason to work.
