Graduate Recruitment Consultant / Trainee Recruitment Consultant – Financial Services
Horsham, £26,000–£30,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission | £40,000+ OTE Year 1
Edmund & Evans are recruiting for an established and highly successful specialist recruitment business in Horsham that is looking to hire Graduate Recruitment Consultants and Trainee Recruitment Consultants into its growing Financial Services division.
You do not need a degree or previous recruitment experience to apply.
This opportunity would suit an ambitious graduate looking for their first professional role, or someone with experience in sales, business development, retail, hospitality or another commercial/customer-facing environment who wants to build a career with excellent earning potential and progression.
The Financial Services division specialises across Wealth Management, Pensions and Employee Benefits and has generated £1 million in billings in the first six months of the year.

The opportunity
You’ll receive hands-on training to develop into a successful Recruitment Consultant, working alongside experienced recruiters and learning how to manage the complete recruitment process.
The team has an excellent track record of developing trainees into high performers. Established consultants within the division are billing £150,000–£180,000+, while one consultant who joined as a trainee three years ago has already received multiple promotions and is on track to bill £250,000 this year.
This is a genuine opportunity to join at trainee level, learn from successful recruiters and build a long-term career where your progression and earnings are directly linked to your performance.
What will you be doing?
As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you’ll learn how to:
- Source and headhunt candidates
- Build relationships with candidates and clients
- Interview and qualify professionals
- Develop new business and client relationships
- Understand clients' hiring requirements
- Manage interview processes
- Negotiate offers and close placements
- Build your own specialist market and network
Recruitment is a fast-paced, commercial career combining sales, relationship building, negotiation and account management.

The role will initially be office-based in Horsham, as the business believes trainees develop faster by working directly alongside experienced consultants and learning from the team day-to-day.
