Job Role – Trainee Recruitment Consultant

Location – London

Base Salary - £28k + 40% commission

OTE - £50k Year 1


The Company – Trainee Recruitment Consultant

We’re hiring on behalf of one of London’s leading Quant recruitment firms. With top consultants billing over £1 million annually, the business has built a reputation for developing high-performing recruiters through exceptional training, mentorship, and market exposure.

You’ll be joining alongside five other 2026 graduates in a collaborative, ambitious cohort designed to accelerate your growth from day one. This is an opportunity to enter a fast-paced, consultative sales environment where you’ll build specialist knowledge within the quantitative finance market, work with elite clients and candidates, and have clear earning potential from the outset.

Who We Are Looking For – Trainee Recruitment Consultant

  • 2:1 or above from a RedBrick university
  • Minimum AAB at A levels
  • Interest in a sales role
  • Financially driven to work towards targets and commission
  • Competitive mindset
  • Analytical – Be able to research the market
  • Charismatic – Personable and confident

The Job Role – Trainee Recruitment Consultant

  • Business Development – Source your own clients to work with and negotiate the terms with them
  • Build relationships with both clients and candidates to understand their preferences
  • Source new candidates to work with via LinkedIn, cold calling and networking
  • Organise interviews and prep your candidates for success
  • Negotiate the offer and make a placement!
