Trainee Recruitment Consultant. IT & Digital Recruitment
Location: Manchester
Salary: Competitive basic salary + uncapped commission
OTE: Consultants with less than two years’ experience in the business are currently earning in excess of £75,000 per year

You do not need previous recruitment experience. We are looking for people with the right attitude, drive and potential. We will give you the training, tools and support to build a successful career.

The business is led by three hands-on Directors with over 40 years of combined recruitment industry experience. You will be joining a successful, supportive and ambitious team where hard work, performance and progression are recognised.

What you will be doing
As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you will learn how to manage the full recruitment process, including:
- Building relationships with candidates and clients
- Speaking with technology professionals about their experience, goals and availability
- Identifying suitable candidates for live client requirements
- Developing new business opportunities with prospective clients
- Managing interviews, feedback, offers and placements
- Building your own specialist market and professional network
- Working towards clear activity, performance and revenue targets
This is a sales-focused role, but it is also highly relationship-led. The best recruiters are strong communicators, commercially aware, resilient and able to build trust quickly.
What we are looking for
We would be interested in speaking with people who can demonstrate:
- Graduate-level ability or previous experience in B2B, B2C, telesales, customer-facing sales, estate agency, fundraising, business development or a similar target-driven environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confidence speaking to new people over the phone, video and in person
- A positive, coachable attitude and willingness to learn
- Resilience, organisation and the ability to work at pace
- Commercial ambition and motivation to progress
- The ability to follow a process while also using your own initiative
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career in recruitment
