We are seeking a motivated, compassionate and ambitious individual to join our structured Registered Manager Development Programme, designed to support the next generation of leaders within Children's Residential Services.
This is a unique opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence required to become a Registered Manager, with full mentoring, leadership training and ongoing support from an experienced senior management team.

About The Service
Your journey will begin within our established children's home in Newcastle-under-Lyme, which is currently transitioning into a specialist therapeutic bridging service.

This innovative service will support children and young people who are preparing to move from residential care into fostering placements but may have experienced difficulties progressing due to trauma, attachment challenges or placement instability.
Working within a therapeutic and psychologically informed environment, you will play a key role in helping young people develop the confidence, resilience and emotional security needed to transition successfully into family-based care.

The Role
As part of the Registered Manager Development Programme, you will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of children's residential care and service leadership.
You will work closely with experienced managers, supporting the day-to-day operation of the home while developing the skills required to lead and manage a service of your own in the future.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality care and positive outcomes for children and young people
- Promoting therapeutic, trauma-informed and relationship-based practice
- Supporting the implementation of care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
- Assisting with staff supervision, leadership and development
- Working collaboratively with families, social workers and external professionals
- Supporting compliance with Ofsted regulations and quality standards
- Contributing to the development and ongoing improvement of the service
- Developing your leadership and operational management skills through mentoring and training

You May Currently Be Working As a
- Senior Residential Support Worker
- Team Leader
- Deputy Manager
- Assistant Manager
- Experienced Residential Childcare Practitioner and be seeking a clear route into leadership and future registration.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Previous experience within Children's Residential Care
- Good understanding of safeguarding legislation and procedures
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and child-centred practice
- Commitment to completing, or currently working towards, a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Right to work in the UK
