Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Trainee Service Advisor role based at our Basildon dealership. The Trainee Service Advisor will support the service team by welcoming customers, handling inbound service enquiries, and booking vehicles in for maintenance and repairs.

Daily Responsibilities

- Updating customers on vehicle progress
- Preparing job cards and service documentation
- Coordinating with technicians to ensure accurate work instructions
- Assisting with invoicing and payment processing
- Maintaining customer records
- Following established service processes
- Providing professional, courteous assistance to help deliver a high-quality customer experience
As a trainee, the successful candidate will receive training and mentoring to develop technical product knowledge and service advisory skills.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and explain technical information clearly and confidently.
- Good organizational and time-management skills to handle bookings, scheduling, and follow-up with attention to detail.
- Basic IT proficiency, including use of email, CRM or booking systems, and common office software.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving customer queries and coordinating with internal teams.
- Genuine interest in the automotive sector and willingness to learn about vehicle servicing and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or retail role is beneficial but not essential; full training will be provided.
- GCSE-level education or equivalent; further automotive or customer service qualifications are an advantage.
