About The Role
At Arco, keeping people safe is at the heart of everything we do. As a Trainee Servicing Technician, you'll play an important role in helping our customers remain compliant and protected while developing the technical skills needed to inspect, maintain and service critical safety equipment.
Based at our workshop in Bracknell, you'll support experienced technicians in delivering specialist safety solutions across areas including Working at Height, Confined Space and Respiratory Protection equipment. No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to build your technical knowledge, gain industry-recognised qualifications and develop strong relationships with customers across your territory.
As a Trainee Servicing Technician, you'll work as part of a supportive team to provide a professional service that helps customers maintain safe, compliant workplaces. You'll receive full training and ongoing support as you develop your skills and progress towards becoming a fully qualified Equipment Services Technician.
This role is working Monday to Friday, 08.30 till 17.00.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting experienced technicians with the servicing, inspection, repair and calibration of a wide range of safety equipment.
- Assisting with planned maintenance, six-month inspections and onsite calibrations at customer locations.
- Developing the skills required to deliver Face Fit Testing at customer sites and Arco Safety & Training Centres.
- Supporting customers with equipment hire, delivery and collection services.
- Learning to provide technical advice and guidance to help customers select appropriate safety equipment and services.
- Preparing quotations, completing job cards, maintaining accurate certification and asset records, and supporting invoicing activities.
- Building positive customer relationships and developing an understanding of opportunities to grow equipment service sales.
- Working closely with Customer Experience teams, Sales colleagues, experienced technicians and external suppliers to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Completing all required training and working towards relevant technical and professional qualifications.
- Following all company processes, health and safety requirements and quality standards while developing your technical competence.

The ideal Trainee Servicing Technician will have:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach and a genuine interest in developing technical skills.
- An interest in health and safety and helping customers stay compliant.
- Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to work carefully and accurately.
- The ability to learn and follow processes thoroughly.
- Basic IT skills and confidence using digital systems.
- A positive attitude towards learning and a willingness to undertake training and achieve industry-recognised qualifications.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also developing the confidence to work independently.
- A willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
- Previous experience working with safety equipment, PPE or engineering equipment would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Knowledge or experience of Face Fit Testing would be beneficial but is not essential.
- A full UK Driving Licence would be preferred but is not essential.
