Trainee Shipbroker

Part of the CSO Marine Group, CSO Shipbrokers is a UK-based ship brokerage and marine consultancy, focused on providing solutions to the Offshore Renewables, Transport & Installation and EPIC Contractor market.

Role Description

We are currently looking for a Trainee Shipbroker to join the team in our London office.

The successful applicant will join our Broker team and undertake a 12-month training scheme to provide you with the skills required to understand the intricacies of the Offshore vessel markets in both the renewables and Oil and Gas sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data management and support to brokers
  • Researching vessel positions and generating position lists
  • Researching and generating profitable new business streams
  • Attend meetings, assist brokers to develop Client Relations and conduct meeting preparations
  • Contract drafting and amending
  • Playing an active role in the company and adding to the strategic expansion of the business
  • Administrative support

  • Preferably educated to degree level
  • A strong and articulated communicator
  • Detail orientated

  • Committed to developing a career in shipbroking
  • The ideal candidate will be degree educated in a financial or economic related subject
