Griffin Mill is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Smart Repair Technician to join our Bodyshop and SMART Repair team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career within the automotive industry and develop specialist skills in SMART vehicle repair. Full training and support will be provided to the successful candidate, making this an ideal role for someone with the right attitude and a genuine interest in learning a skilled trade.
About The Role
Working alongside our experienced SMART Repair technicians, you will develop practical skills and knowledge across a range of cosmetic vehicle repairs.
The Role Will Involve
- Assisting with SMART repairs to vehicle bodywork and paintwork
- Learning how to repair minor scratches, scuffs, dents, and cosmetic damage
- Preparing vehicle panels and surfaces prior to repair
- Learning paint preparation, colour matching, and application techniques
- Assisting with polishing and finishing vehicles to a high standard
- Using workshop tools and equipment safely and correctly
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
- Working alongside experienced technicians to develop your skills and knowledge
- Following Griffin Mill procedures and maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Supporting the wider Bodyshop team as required

Previous experience within a Bodyshop, SMART Repair, vehicle preparation, or automotive environment would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
