Location: Hybrid, Camberley. The role will initially be office-based during the training period. After training, a minimum of one day per week in the office will be required, in line with our Surveyor roles. Candidates must also be willing to travel across the region and occasionally to other regions for training and meetings.
Salary: £35,471 per annum (including regional uplift and car allowance)
Contract: 2 year Fixed Term Contract, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

About The Role
Join our team as a Trainee Surveyor and help deliver high-quality maintenance services to our customers. You’ll carry out property inspections, assess repairs, and work with contractors to ensure standards are met - especially in light of new responsibilities under Awaab’s Law, which requires prompt action on damp, mould, and emergency repairs to protect tenant health.
This is a hands-on learning role where you’ll shadow experienced surveyors, build your technical and customer service skills, and work towards a professional qualification. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude - resilient, proactive, and committed to improving lives. Strong communication, IT skills, teamwork, and a willingness to learn are essential.

Salary
The spot salary for this post is £31,686 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. If you’re still developing some of the skills or experience, you can start at a salary 5% or 10% below the spot rate, with clear support and progression opportunities to reach the full amount.

You'll also receive a regional uplift of £2,535 per annum and an essential car user allowance starting at £1,250 per annum.
About You
- A keen interest in building maintenance and working alongside contractors to deliver reactive maintenance services
- Willingness to work towards and achieve Level 3 BTech in the Built Environment
- Minimum of 5 x GCSE, level 4 (grade C ) or above including English and Maths
- Evidence of regular study in support of continued professional development
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- IT literacy, including proficiency in using company operational software systems
The successful applicant will be subject to pre‑employment checks, such as DBS and social media screening, before an offer is confirmed.
Interviews

A role related Excel assessment and behavioural and scenario-based interview focused on how you apply your knowledge to real-life situations. You'll be asked to complete a Customer Service Questionnaire in advance.
Planned date: Week Commencing 2nd November at our Stockton office.
