Systemic Family Practice (SFP) Recruit-To-Train Practitioner
Recruit to Train is a government-funded initiative aiming to grow the child mental health workforce to meet much needed demand. To help reach this goal, NHSE covers salary and training costs for a 1-year post, allowing services to employ trainees to aid in implementing new or expanding existing specialist pathways to bridge the gaps in CYP mental health support.
This is a unique opportunity to apply your learning from weekly teaching into practical clinical interventions working with clients in the service making a direct impact in the lives of children, young people and their families.
Position Details:
- Location: 48 Glenthorne Road, London, W6 0LS
- Travel: Expected to travel to Denmark Hill Campus of King’s College London for teaching during the training year.

Role Description:
- Position: SFP Practitioner
- Team: Hammersmith and Fulham Community CAMHS (CCAMHS) Team
- Programme: Child and Young Persons Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP-IAPT) Programme
- Contract: One-year fixed-term post (1.0 WTE), funded by NHSE
- Opportunities: After successful completion, applicants would be encouraged to apply for any vacant posts within the service, with support and advice in job applications.
Requirements:
- Ability to balance a busy work and study schedule
- Enrolled on a Postgraduate Diploma course
- Willingness to study and perform at an academic level outside of protected study time
- Protected study time: typically two days a week during term (with possibility of extra university days near start), a mixture of in-person and online sessions
- Willingness to travel into London for lectures
