Permanent, full-time role
Location: field based UK, with head office in Braintree, Essex
Salary: up to £28,000 plus benefits

About the Role
As a Trainee Telecommunications Infrastructure and Inspection Engineer you will be required to support the lead rigger in daily tasks such as, rigging equipment, operate heavy machinery to erect and install structures and equipment and dismantle rigging after the job. You will also be required to attend site surveys and climb down inspections, to support the wider business with site work and installation of steelwork and generally to complete tasks agreed by the business with our clients relating to the building and maintenance of steel structures.
You will need to communicate with the rigging team leader and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations are always adhered to.
The role is a UK field-based role, and regular travel and stay-aways are required.
Main Duties
- Inspect and prepare loads that need to be moved
- Set up and levelling heavy equipment machinery
- Prepare rigging equipment
- Inspect rigging before final use
- Monitor and maintain rigging equipment
- General duties associated with climbing and working at height on antenna mast and tower support structures
- Installation of feeder support systems and TX link supports
- Manoeuvre loads using heavy equipment machinery by hand
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
- Communicate with the rigging team
- Breaking down rigging equipment and conducting post rigging inspections

About You
Qualifications and Experience
- Working at Height certification
- Valid and full UK driving licence
Desirable aptitude, skills and abilities
- Full understanding of RAMS, SSOW and SOW for written submissions
- Experience of using Microsoft Office
- Work at height and noisy environments
- Climbing skills and able to work safely at height
- Good communication skills
- Problem solving skills
Personal attributes
- Enthusiastic, proactive and organised individual with good use of initiative
- Working in a team and developing strong working relationships
- Ability to work well under pressure and have a flexible approach to working
You will need to pass a basic medical and fitness examination.
Candidates should live within a reasonable commute to Braintree, be available to work and travel across the UK, and have the right to work in the UK.
