Trainee Underwriter / Credit Analyst
Stockport £30,000-£32,000 + Bonus
An established and growing finance business in Stockport is looking to recruit a Trainee Underwriter / Credit Analyst.
This is a varied, blended role combining credit underwriting, deal assessment and administration, with the opportunity to develop your underwriting skills while also working with the latest AI-supported underwriting tools.
- You'll be involved in reviewing finance applications
- Assessing credit and risk
- Supporting deal decisions
- Handling the administration needed to move transactions through to completion

We're keen to speak with either someone looking to develop a career in underwriting, or a candidate who already has some underwriting or credit experience and enjoys a broader, hands-on role.
Ideally You'll Have
- Some exposure to underwriting, credit, lending or asset finance - although training can be provided
- Strong attention to detail and good numerical ability
- Confidence using technology and an interest in how AI is changing underwriting
- A practical, organised approach and willingness to get involved across the wider deal process
