Trainee Service Technician (Electrical / Mechanical)

Redditch

£12.71 - £13 (£13.50 after Probation) + Specialist Training + Progression + Workshop Based + Days Based + Overtime

Are you a recent University or College graduate with a qualification within a Mechanical or Electrical field looking to step into a role with a global wiper system specialist offering guaranteed overtime and full on the job training to kick start your Engineering career?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global company with over 70 years of expertise in windscreen wiper and wash systems for Marine and Rail applications. From leisure crafts to naval ships and bespoke products, they offer a range of products which you will service from their workshop in Redditch.

In this workshop-based role, you'll receive full training on the company's SAP system and how to estimate repair costs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include fault-finding on electric motors, producing technical reports, carrying out repairs and testing units before they're returned to customers. You'll work Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM, and Friday, 7:30 AM-1:30 PM.

This role would suit a Trainee Electrical or Mechanical Technician or fresh University / College leaver looking to join a global well-established company offering specialist training on a range of products.

The Role:

  • Fault find, inspect and repair electric motors
  • Produce technical reports and estimate repair costs.
  • Receive full training on SAP, quotations and electrical repair techniques.
  • Workshop-based role with an early finish every Friday.
  • Overtime available on Saturdays paid at 1.5x

The Person:

  • Electrical / Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • Experience as a Trainee Electrical / Mechanical Technician
  • Willing to commute to workshop in Redditch
