Trainer
We are looking for an engaging and experienced Trainer to join our Learning & Development team on a fixed-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing our people across the business, from site-based teams to office-based employees.
As a Trainer, you will design, deliver and evaluate high-quality learning solutions that support employee development, enhance performance, and promote a culture of continuous learning. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure our people have the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to succeed and deliver the Gleeson way.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct training needs analysis in partnership with the Learning & Development Manager and key stakeholders to identify learning requirements across the business.
- Design, develop and deliver engaging training programmes, workshops, presentations and e-learning content.
- Deliver a variety of learning interventions including onboarding programmes, compliance training, systems training, leadership development and soft skills training.
- Create structured induction and onboarding programmes for new starters across departments including Construction, Sales, Commercial, Technical and Customer Care.
- Adapt training materials and delivery methods to suit different learning styles and audiences, from operational teams through to senior leadership.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments and performance metrics, ensuring learning solutions deliver measurable business impact.
- Produce reports and insights on training activity, engagement and outcomes.
- Collaborate with departments across the business to ensure learning initiatives align with operational objectives and business goals.
- Support the implementation of new systems, policies and procedures through training and change management activities.
- Act as a key point of contact for learning and development queries, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
- Promote and champion a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout the organisation.

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a Training, Learning & Development or Talent Development role.
- Strong experience delivering soft skills training, including areas such as Leadership, Management, Communication, Customer Service and Sales.
- Confident facilitator with excellent presentation and coaching skills.
- Experience designing engaging and effective learning programmes, both classroom-based and virtual.
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and conduct training needs analysis to identify development opportunities.
- Experience tailoring learning solutions to suit a diverse workforce, including site-based, office-based, management and senior leadership teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.

Qualifications
Essential:
- Level 4 qualification in Learning & Development (or equivalent experience).
Desirable:
- Level 5 qualification in Organisational Development.
- Subject-specific training qualifications and certifications.
