Trainer Assessor Sterile Services
Fancy a role where you can train, educate and inspire others in Sterile Services?
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sterile Services professional to join our fantastic Training Team as a Trainer Assessor. This is a brilliant opportunity to share your knowledge, support others to grow, and help maintain high standards of quality, safety and compliance across our sites. You do not need to already hold teaching or assessing qualifications, but you must be willing to work towards and achieve them. What matters most is your sterile services experience, your enthusiasm for helping others learn, and your commitment to doing things well.
About The Role
As a Trainer Assessor, you will plan, deliver, assess and evaluate technical training across all aspects of decontamination. You will support employees and apprenticeship learners to build their knowledge, skills and confidence, while helping sites achieve quality, compliance, production and Health & Safety standards.
What you will be doing
- Deliver practical technical training in decontamination across site areas, job roles and shift patterns.
- Support employees and learners to apply safe, compliant and effective working practices.
- Maintain training records, training matrices and learner documentation in line with quality and GDPR requirements.
- Carry out training reviews, site audits, skills scans and progress reviews to identify and address training needs.
- Manage a caseload of apprenticeship learners, supporting their progression, off-the-job learning, functional skills and preparation for End Point Assessment.
- Work closely with managers, learners and colleagues to provide clear communication, early support and positive outcomes.
- Take part in standardisation meetings, mandatory training and ongoing CPD to keep your own practice current.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
