Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Trainer / Assessor role based in Burton Upon Trent. The Trainer Assessor will deliver asbestos removal training courses, ensuring that content is accurate, up to date, and aligned with current legislation, guidance, and best practice. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Preparing training materials
- Delivering classroom and practical sessions
- Assessing learner competence through observations, written work, and structured assessments

The role involves:
- Maintaining training records
- Providing constructive feedback to learners
- Supporting candidates through certification and accreditation processes
- Contributing to course development
- Collaborating with colleagues to improve training delivery
- Upholding ARCA’s quality assurance and health and safety standards
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in training delivery and assessment, ideally within asbestos removal, construction, or health and safety fields.
- Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation, safety regulations, and industry best practice, with the ability to interpret and communicate technical information clearly.
- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse groups of learners and provide constructive feedback.
- Organizational and time-management skills to plan courses, manage multiple training sessions, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Relevant training and assessing qualifications (e.g., TAQA, A1, PTLLS/CTLLS or equivalent), and health and safety certifications; asbestos-specific qualifications are highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in using standard office and presentation software to prepare materials and support training delivery.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusive learning practices, with a focus on learner support and professional conduct.
- Ability to work on-site in Burton Upon Trent and travel to member premises or training venues nationally as required.
