The World Green Skills Initiative (WOGSIN) is dedicated to preparing the global workforce for a sustainable, net-zero future. WOGSIN aims to train 1 million individuals in practical, employable green skills by 2030, reserving 50% of all training slots for learners from the global south. The organization equips professionals, institutions, and governments with the knowledge and hands-on capabilities needed to lead the transition to a low-carbon economy. WOGSIN is driven by the belief that education is a powerful catalyst for combating climate change and fostering sustainable innovation.
Role Description
The Trainer, Carbon and Sustainability Analyst is a contract role based in London with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site delivery and some work-from-home flexibility. This role focuses on designing and delivering training programs on carbon accounting, sustainability analysis, and green skills for diverse cohorts, including professionals, students, and organizational teams.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Developing curriculum and training materials
- Preparing case studies and practical exercises
- Conducting workshops and webinars
- Assessing participant progress through assignments and feedback
The trainer will collaborate with internal teams to align content with WOGSIN’s learning outcomes, contribute to continuous improvement of course materials, and stay current with emerging standards and regulations in sustainability and climate reporting.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in carbon accounting, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, and sustainability metrics, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Experience in training, adult learning, or instructional design, including facilitation of workshops, online sessions, and hands-on exercises.
- Knowledge of climate policy, ESG frameworks, and corporate sustainability reporting (e.g., GHG Protocol, TCFD, and related standards).
- Proficiency in data analysis and basic quantitative methods relevant to carbon and sustainability assessments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and skill levels.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training cohorts and deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability, climate action, and inclusive education, particularly in relation to the global south.
- Relevant academic background in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, economics, or a related field; professional certifications in carbon or ESG analysis are an advantage.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment in London, using digital collaboration and learning tools.
