About the Role

We're looking for an experienced public sector professional with a strong background in training delivery to play a key role in shaping and delivering CIPFA's learning offer.

Combining subject matter expertise with excellent facilitation skills, you will develop both new and existing training programmes, and deliver engaging, high-impact learning experiences that meet the needs of public finance professionals.

You will use market intelligence, customer insight and emerging trends to identify opportunities for innovation and develop new products and services that contribute to the growth of CIPFA's commercial training portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Course Development and Maintenance

  • Lead the review and updating of existing training programmes, ensuring content remains current, accurate and aligned with policy, regulation and best practice.
  • Improve course materials based on learner feedback, market intelligence and sector developments.
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes to maintain high standards across training provision.

New Product Development and Commercial Growth

  • Identify opportunities for new courses and programmes based on market demand, client feedback and emerging public sector priorities.
  • Design and develop new training products that support CIPFA’s commercial growth and meet sector needs.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure new products are commercially viable and client focused.

Client-Focused and Bespoke Training

  • Work with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored training solutions and materials.
  • Deliver practical, relevant and impactful in-house training aligned with client objectives.

Training Delivery

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging training across online and face-to-face formats.
  • Adapt delivery to different audiences to provide an inclusive and effective learning experience.
  • Use relevant public sector examples to support the practical application of learning.
  • Where timetabling allows, teach modules within CIPFA’s Professional Accountancy Qualification through the Education and Training Centre.

E-Learning Development

  • Support the design, development, review and updating of engaging and accessible digital and e-learning content.
