About the Role

Pilgrim’s Europe is a leading food manufacturer, and we are currently looking for a Trainer to join our dedicated team in Grantham. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive workplace with great opportunities for development.

Shift pattern: 06:00 - 14:00/ 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday (Rotating weekly)

Salary: Starts from £560 per week, £29,120 per year

Location: Gonerby Rd, Grantham NG31 8HZ

Are you passionate about developing people and helping others succeed? Pilgrim's Europe is looking for a motivated and organised Trainer to join our Talent & Development team in Grantham.

In this role, you will deliver training, coaching, assessments, and development programmes to ensure employees and agency operatives have the skills, knowledge, and competence required to work safely, effectively, and in line with company and customer standards.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver training, coaching, demonstrations, assessments, and refresher programmes.
  • Support new starters and existing employees in developing their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct competency assessments and monitor training effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
  • Coordinate training activities across site departments.
  • Support the creation and review of training materials, SOPs, and procedures.
  • Work closely with Managers and Team Leaders to identify development needs.
  • Deliver presentations and development activities that support operational performance.
  • Promote Health & Safety, Food Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental standards at all times.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience within a manufacturing or factory environment
  • Knowledge of production, processing, and packing operations
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Literacy equivalent to Entry Level 2 (E2)
  • Successful completion of internal Numeracy, Judgement, and Perception assessments

Desirable

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Learning & Development qualification (Level 1) or willingness to work towards one
  • Previous experience delivering training, coaching, or competency assessments
  • Understanding of Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
