Storm Auto Services

Storm Auto Services is a growing specialist business supporting the UK collision repair sector through mobile services, remote diagnostics and programming, and specialist automotive training.

Our Milton Keynes training centre is IMI-approved and delivers a wide range of automotive training, including:

  • Electric Vehicle (EV) training
  • Welding
  • MET
  • Paint
  • Panel
  • VDA
  • ADAS
  • Other specialist automotive and industry-specific courses

We also work with external training and assessment providers to deliver qualifications and bespoke training programmes for our customers.

As our training operation continues to grow, we are looking for an organised and customer-focused Training & Administration Coordinator to join our team in Milton Keynes.

About the Role

This is a varied coordination and administration role supporting the day-to-day operation of our training centre.

You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating training bookings
  • Communicating with customers and external providers
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting candidate registrations and assessments
  • Preparing documentation
  • Ensuring the practical arrangements for training courses run smoothly

You will work closely with customers, candidates, assessors, training providers, awarding and assessment bodies, suppliers, and colleagues across Storm.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being organised, is confident communicating with people, pays close attention to detail, and can manage several priorities at the same time.

Previous experience within the automotive training sector is not essential.

Full training and support will be provided, including training on our systems and processes. We are more interested in finding someone with the right approach, strong administration skills, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Training Coordination & Bookings

  • Coordinate customer training bookings and course arrangements
  • Liaise with customers, training providers, suppliers, and assessors
  • Manage changes to bookings, including dates, attendees, and course arrangements
  • Maintain accurate booking information across relevant systems
  • Manage and maintain the Outlook training calendar
  • Ensure customers, assessors, and internal colleagues have the information they need ahead of training
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of training courses at the Milton Keynes training centre

Candidate & Assessment Administration

  • Register candidates with relevant awarding and assessment bodies
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and supporting documentation
  • Prepare assessment paperwork and documentation for assessors
  • Ensure required paperwork is ready ahead of assessments
  • Process and distribute completed training certificates
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, candidates, assessments, and certificates

Administration & Finance

  • Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets and administrative records
  • Raise customer invoices through Xero using information provided by the relevant booking and finance records
  • Check booking and invoicing information for accuracy
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to general enquiries
  • Provide reception and general office support when required
  • Welcome visitors and receive deliveries
  • Arrange candidate lunches and other practical requirements for training courses
  • Place approved office and training-related orders with suppliers
  • Provide general administrative support to the wider business

Essential Experience & Skills

  • At least one year's experience in a similar administration, coordination, or customer service role, or previous administrative experience within the automotive sector
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
  • Professional telephone and email manner
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
  • Willingness to learn and develop

Advantageous (but not essential)

  • Experience within the automotive, body repair, or collision repair sector
  • Experience within automotive training
  • Experience working with training providers, awarding bodies, or assessment organisations
  • Experience coordinating courses, bookings, or events
  • Experience using Xero or similar accounting/invoicing software
  • Experience using CRM, booking, or training administration systems
  • Knowledge of automotive training terminology or qualification processes
  • Experience working within an IMI-approved or similar training environment

What We Offer

You do not need to know everything from day one. Full training and support will be provided to help you understand Storm's training services, systems, and processes.

Previous experience with Xero, specific training systems, awarding bodies, or the automotive training sector is not essential. We are looking for someone with strong administration and organisational skills who is willing to learn and develop. You will have the opportunity to build your knowledge of automotive training, qualifications, and assessment processes as you grow into the role.

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
  • Office-based role in Milton Keynes
  • Salary of £27,000–£28,000 per annum, depending on experience
