Training & Competence Advisor

TEXO Recruitment are actively recruiting for a Training & Competence Advisor. This vacancy is a full-time, 12 month fixed term role offering an immediate start. Based in Aberdeen.

Are you passionate about developing people and driving a culture of continuous learning? We're looking for a Training & Competence Advisor to design, deliver and continuously improve our training and competence framework, ensuring employees have the skills, knowledge and qualifications to perform safely, effectively and compliantly.

In this role, you'll:

  • Design and manage training and competence frameworks across the business.
  • Coordinate training programmes and ensure mandatory and role-specific learning remains compliant.
  • Support competence assessments, audits and reviews while maintaining accurate training records.
  • Partner with managers to identify skills gaps, support succession planning and advise on development pathways.
  • Analyse training data to improve learning effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Work with training providers and regulatory bodies to ensure best practice and compliance.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience in Training, Learning & Development, Competence Assurance or a similar role.
  • Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing compliance records and producing reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience within a regulated industry (Energy, Oil & Gas, Engineering, Construction, Healthcare or similar) is highly desirable.
  • Assessor qualifications (CAVA/A1/D32/D33) or L&D qualifications are advantageous.
