Training and Competence Coordinator
Are you an organised coordinator with experience supporting training and competence activities? Hunter Adams are delighted to be supporting our client with sourcing a Training and Competence Coordinator on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) - part-time basis.
This role offers the opportunity to support workforce development and compliance across offshore assets and onshore teams. As Training and Competence Coordinator, you will coordinate training requirements, maintain accurate records, and help improve the systems that support employee competence across the business.
The Role
- Coordinate training and recertification against the training matrix, arranging onboard trainers where required.
- Build strong relationships with training providers and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate, accessible records within the Training Management System (TMS).
- Support the administration and ongoing development of the Competence Management System (CMS), including introducing new employees to the platform.
- Coordinate Flag Minimum Safe Manning documentation, including renewals, new applications, and licence conversions.
- Help ensure sufficient trained Assessors and Verifiers are in place to support competence assessments.
- Produce regular training and competence compliance reports for offshore assets and onshore teams.
- Work with system providers to improve platform functionality and management reporting.
- Review training invoices, highlighting discrepancies and any client recharges.

- You’ll bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confident working with colleagues and external providers, you’ll be comfortable maintaining records, monitoring compliance, and producing accurate reports.
- Experience in training competence administration would be valuable, particularly within an offshore, marine, or similarly regulated environment.
- Familiarity with training or competence management systems would also be beneficial.
