Training & Development Specialist
We are seeking a Training & Development Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive training programs that support employee growth and organizational development. This role is responsible for enhancing workforce capability across the organization, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, operational excellence, safety, quality, onboarding, and productivity.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on learning professional with experience in instructional design, adult learning, leadership, and training program management within a dynamic operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across all phases of operations, including Safety, Quality, Operations, and Onboarding
- Design, develop, and implement effective training programs and materials in partnership with cross-functional department leaders
- Lead training initiatives that support operational excellence by continuously improving programs and processes to reduce costs and increase productivity
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, performance metrics, and continuous analysis
- Develop the annual training plan and prepare structured teaching plans
- Translate business and role requirements into training programs that support employee development and career progression
- Acclimate new hires to the business through onboarding and orientation sessions
- Analyze learning needs and adapt training methods to support a variety of learning styles
- Mentor, develop, and guide junior trainers by providing coaching, feedback, and professional development support

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Instructional Design, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in training and development, including instructional design and leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of learning management systems (LMS), instructional design, e-learning, and adult learning principles
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software, including digital training tools and platforms
- Extensive experience with Learning Management Systems
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Strong understanding of adult learning methodologies and effective training practices
