Our Corporate/Commercial Legal Teams
Our corporate/commercial legal teams form a £60 million business with a national presence, global reach, and a local feel, with 350+ colleagues across six locations. We have established experts covering financial services, living, renewable energy, manufacturing, consumer, sport, education, and technology, offering a range of legal services and an exciting opportunity to work across multiple sectors with national and regional clients.

Role
The Legal Services for Businesses stream covers our Business Services Group (BSG), which typically offers 10 to 15 national trainee roles across 13 teams:

Across six locations:
- Birmingham
- Gatwick/Brighton
- Leeds
- London
- Manchester

Training
Trainees undertake four seats over two years, gaining breadth of experience across the multi-disciplinary teams that service the varying needs of clients in the mid-corporate market and community. BSG teams are collaborative and actively cross-sell their services.
We encourage all our BSG trainees to develop their commercial awareness, to be curious and open-minded about the full breadth of our BSG offering, and to make the most of the opportunities that come with training at such a national firm.
Requirements
The firm is looking for ambitious, well-motivated individuals with a real commitment to the law who can demonstrate a positive approach to their work. Irwin Mitchell recruits both law and non-law graduates and views social ability as being just as important as academic achievement.
