Outline of role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Training Coordinator to join our HR team in Castleford. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery, coordination and continuous improvement of learning and development activities across the business.
Working closely with the Talent & Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing training administration, coordinating learning events, maintaining learning records and supporting the development of engaging learning content. You will also deliver short training sessions, support business-wide compliance training requirements and help create a positive learning culture where employees can thrive.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer internal and external training programmes across the business.
- Act as the primary administrator for the HandsHQ (HHQ) Learning Management System, ensuring training records remain accurate and compliant.
- Manage training requests, course bookings, training calendars and learning communications.
- Monitor mandatory training completion and provide reporting on compliance, learning activity and training outcomes.
- Organise and coordinate training events, including scheduling, venue arrangements, attendee management and liaison with training providers.
- Deliver engaging face-to-face and virtual short-course training sessions.
- Support the creation, maintenance and continuous improvement of training materials and e-learning content using Articulate Rise.
- Assist with the planning and administration of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities.
- Process training-related invoices and liaise with external suppliers regarding bookings and attendance.
- Provide first-line support to employees and managers regarding learning systems, training opportunities and development resources.
- Support wider Talent & Development projects and initiatives as required.

Essential
Knowledge and experience required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a training, learning & development, or similar coordination role.
- Experience delivering short-course training sessions in a classroom or virtual environment.
- Experience creating and maintaining e-learning content using Articulate Rise.
- Knowledge of learning management systems and training administration processes.
- Strong understanding of compliance training and training record management.
Desirable
- Previous experience working within a Learning & Development function.
- Experience managing learning management systems such as HandsHQ or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting learning and development projects and initiatives.
- Three or more years' experience within a similar role.

Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent)
Desirable
- CIPD Level 3 qualification.
- ATD Training Coordination Certificate or equivalent Learning & Development qualification.
