Training Coordinator Apprentice
The Training Coordinator Apprentice supports the planning, coordination and administration of learning and development activities across the organisation. Working as part of the HR team, the role provides practical experience in business administration, learning coordination and people administration.
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
The apprentice will support the organisation and delivery of training programmes, maintain accurate training and employee records, coordinate learning activities, and provide administrative support that contributes to employee development and the achievement of organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer training activities.
- Monitor training completion and assist with reporting and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with employees, managers, and training providers regarding learning and development activities.
- Maintain HR systems, databases, and documentation.
- Provide administrative support for apprenticeship programmes and employee development initiatives.
- Support the HR team with general administrative tasks.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the Learning & Development and HR functions.
Strategy Delivery
- Support the delivery of learning and development initiatives that enhance employee skills, knowledge and performance.
- Assist in promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the organisation.
Communications and reporting
- Maintain accurate training records and learning management system data.
- Produce training reports, attendance records and evaluation feedback.
- Communicate training schedules and learning opportunities to employees and managers.
Stakeholder management
- Build effective working relationships with employees, managers, training providers and external partners.
- Support managers with training requests and coordinate learning activities across departments.
Risk/Regulation/Legislation/Policies Compliance
- Ensure training records are maintained in line with company procedures and data protection requirements.
- Support compliance training activities and monitor mandatory training completion.
- Follow HR policies and procedures when handling employee information.
Project Management
- Support learning and development projects, including training rollouts, apprenticeship programmes, employee development initiatives and engagement activities.
- Assist with organising training events, workshops and induction programmes.

What you'll learn
Course contents
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to:
- Write letters or emails
- Create proposals
- Perform financial processes
- Record and analyse data
Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.

- GCSE in:
- English (grade C/4)
- Mathematics (grade C/4)

Eligible to enrol on and complete a CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice.
