Purpose of Role

The key purpose of the role is to be responsible for ensuring that knowledge is effectively captured and managed across the Seafood Business. This will involve optimising how data is created, held, and used across the business.

This role is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Accountabilities

  • In collaboration with functional teams, build an architecture for how knowledge is created, edited, stored, maintained, and used across the business so knowledge management is optimised.
  • Establish a standard for Hilton Seafood SOPs that is bought into by relevant departments.
  • Ensure knowledge in SOPs is up to date, fit for purpose, and user-friendly to support safe and effective ways of working that drive efficiency and quality in all our activities.
  • Lead and co-ordinate the review and updating of SOPs to ensure the right knowledge goes to the right people and knowledge is promptly applied to business activities.
  • Collaborate and influence functional teams across the business so that SOPs are co-ordinated, minimising duplication.
  • Monitor progress and learning processes by keeping track of project outcomes.
  • Provide and maintain a standard around SOPs so that SOPs are understandable to users and consistent.
  • Provide the Training Team with coaching and training and a schedule of SOPs and relevant content from departments to enable them to progress the review and maintenance of SOPs in the new format.
  • Verification of SOPs with key departmental stakeholders to ensure SOPs are understood and bought into and reflect the reality of how work is actually undertaken.

  • Experience in manufacturing providing understanding of business processes.
  • Knowledge Management and/or project management skills would be desirable e.g. CKM, CKP, CKS, APMP / PRINCE2 Agile.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing SOPs.
  • Understand how people learn and utilize information and knowledge.
