Training Development Administrator
Reporting to: Project Manager
Place of work: Remote (attending London Head Office occasionally when required)
Hours of work: 8.30 to 17.00 (with 1 hour unpaid lunch break)
Contract: permanent, full-time
The Training Development team create Read Write Inc. programme resources, films and documentation for schools and consultant trainers to teach children to read in over 8000 schools.
Responsibilities
PowerPoints and documents
- Edit PowerPoint presentations (including animations, inserting films, photos, formatting, tables), notes and accompanying documents.
- Draft, edit, format and proofread documents, forms, notes and guidance for external and internal use.
- Ensure all documentation is consistent in style and format following RMT branding guidance across teams.
- Ensure updates are made consistently to all relevant PPTs and documents.
- Compile information from emails and documents into one place.
- Carry out general administrative tasks as requested.
Resources
- Coordinate training resources and liaise with external suppliers – arranging design and print of workbooks, ordering materials from Oxford University Press and tracking stock at warehouse and HQ.
- Co-ordinate and manage new trainer resources and return of leaving trainer resources.
- Arrange half-termly distribution of resources to trainers.
Diaries, meetings and internal systems
- Support with any admin tasks required for team meetings and conferences including setting up and arrange dates for team, leadership and training meetings.
- Set up and arrange induction period for newly recruited trainers.
- Read and analyse training evaluations.
- Add updates to the Internal homepage including half termly ‘clean up’ of Training and School Portal section.
- Use Microsoft Forms to create internal and external surveys.
- Ensure internal systems are organised logically for easy access including archiving older content.
- Carry out general administrative tasks as requested.

Knowledge
- Excellent detailed knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
Skills
- Strong IT skills – experience of PowerPoint essential; confident in Word and Excel; database experience desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Manage workload effectively.
- Be rigorous in attention to detail.
- Efficient administrative skills – able to plan, organise and prioritise.
- Ability to write succinct copy.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues and representatives from Oxford University Press.
- A team player who is willing to step in and help when needed.

The Training Development administrator will be expected to comply with any reasonable request from the Project Manager and/or CEO/Directors to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified in this job description. This job description may be amended at any time following discussions with the Project Manager CEO/Directors and/or Head of HR.
