A Training & Development Specialist with Networks & Telecoms experience will be responsible for the delivery and updating of training material and equipment, related to our Networks and Communication Infrastructure Systems (CIS) business and other areas within the Rail Infrastructure training team.
This role will deliver our training material and support the planning and implementation of product related training for our client (internal & external). You will also need to liaise with the relevant Seniors and departments to keep up to date with all new technology, taking a role in development and implementation of the new technology training strategy.
You will need to apply your existing experience to delivering Networks and communications infrastructure training to ensure key business deliverables are achieved. This role will require frequent travel across the UK with overnight stays.
You’ll create impact by...
- Designing, developing and delivering technical training for Siemens Rail Infrastructure and other areas within Siemens Mobility
- Creating and updating course material, including e‑learning content, to ensure alignment with new technologies and customer needs.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external customers to identify training requirements and deliver tailored learning solutions.
- Supporting the senior trainers with the development of responses to project bids
- Championing safety, quality and continuous improvement across all aspects of training delivery and development.

Your success will be grounded by…
- Having a HNC in a STEM discipline, or equivalent industrial or engineering experience.
- Developing technical training materials, strategies and teaching / mentoring others.
- Having excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Great organisation and time‑management skills, with the ability to work independently and in virtual teams.
- Installing and Jointing Cables (Copper or Fibre)
- Experience with video processing and transmission systems
Desirables
- Knowledge of railway communication systems
- Awareness of safety critical working
