Training Officer (Microsoft 365 and Applications) - Ref: RT01527

G8 £40,444 - £43,149 per annum
1 permanent full-time post

We're looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Training Officer to join our Organisational Development team and play a key role in helping our workforce maximise the benefits of Microsoft 365 and digital ways of working. This is an exciting opportunity to support the development of colleagues across the organisation by delivering engaging learning experiences that improve confidence, capability and productivity.

What does Organisational Development do?

The Organisational Development team is committed to supporting our workforce to grow, develop and perform at their best. Through high-quality learning programmes, coaching and development opportunities, we help employees build the skills and confidence they need to meet current and future organisational challenges.

As part of this work, the team is expanding its digital skills offer, helping colleagues make greater use of Microsoft 365 and the wider suite of Microsoft applications to improve collaboration, communication and productivity. Working closely and in collaboration with our Digital colleagues, the team provides practical, engaging learning opportunities that enable staff to get the most from modern workplace technology.

There are three main activities for this role:

Design and delivery of learning programmes

Develop and deliver high-quality training programmes covering Microsoft 365 and associated applications, including basic, intermediate and advanced learning opportunities. Training will be delivered face to face, online and through blended approaches, using engaging techniques and interactive digital tools.

Creating learning resources

Develop and maintain a range of accessible learning materials, guides, presentations and supporting resources that help learners continue their development beyond the training environment.

Continuous improvement and workforce engagement

Gather and analyse learner feedback, identify opportunities to improve programmes and proactively engage with colleagues across the organisation to understand and respond to changing development needs. You'll also promote learning opportunities and support wider Organisational Development initiatives.

What Will You Be Doing?

Delivering engaging Microsoft 365 training programmes, workshops, coaching and mentoring sessions to colleagues across the organisation. You'll develop learning resources, continuously review and improve training content, and work collaboratively with colleagues to identify new opportunities to enhance workforce capability. You'll also support learners to apply their learning in practice and help build a culture of continuous development and digital confidence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You will be creative, flexible and solutions focused, with the ability to identify learning needs and develop practical resources that support individual and organisational performance. You'll have experience of using learner feedback to drive continuous improvement and be comfortable working collaboratively.

Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft 365 products is essential. Experience of using interactive learning technologies and digital engagement tools to enhance training delivery would be highly beneficial.
