Training Programme Director in Orthodontics
An opportunity has arisen for appointment to the role of Training Programme Director in Orthodontics within the North West. The successful applicant will support the Associate Dental Dean for Specialty Training in Strategic Development.
The post holder will lead on the development of the Departments Recruitment and Retention Strategy and contribute to supporting the Operational Programme.
Key Responsibilities Include
- To support the ADD in managing trainee underperformance with the support of the Lead Associate Dean for performance and conduct, in line with the NHSE North West Office TRES framework.
- To support the development and provision of training opportunities in primary care in the NW.
- To attend the Specialty Exec and support the ADD in facilitating appropriate engagement from Training Programme Directors and other stakeholders.
- To attend and participate in other NHSE meetings as required. This will include the sharing of best practice from within the Dept, to facilitate the effective use of resources and support a collaborative approach to improving the delivery of education and training across the region.
- To provide expert advice on Specialty specific matters to the Scheme.
- To support the Associate Dental Dean for Specialty Training to ensure appropriate systems for Assessment, Rotational Management, Trainee Supervision & Support and other functions within the dept.
- To promote or lead work programmes as requested by the ADD.
- To promote shared learning opportunities increasing effective inter-professional working across the Dept.
- To contribute to Workforce Planning for the region.
