Shape the Future of Defence Training

At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Training Solution Architect at our Andover site.

The Role

As a Training Solution Architect, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play a pivotal role in developing innovative training solutions that support critical defence and maritime operations. Working at the forefront of learning technology, simulation, and training transformation, you'll help shape winning solutions that deliver measurable value for customers while supporting business growth across Babcock's maritime portfolio.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

  • Developing innovative, compliant, and cost-effective training solutions that meet customer and business requirements.
  • Leading and supporting bid, proposal, and business-winning activities through training strategies, solution artefacts, and proofs of concept.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on training systems, learning technologies, and simulation solutions.
  • Collaborating with operational, capability, training, and bid teams to create new products and services.
  • Driving continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimise training effectiveness and delivery.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based at Andover. Hybrid working patterns are available. Travel to other Babcock and customer sites, both nationally and internationally, will be expected.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
