DESCRIPTION
As a Training Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will contribute to developing and delivering effective learning solutions that enable our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You will partner with business leaders to design, implement and evaluate comprehensive training programs that drive operational excellence and ensure regulatory compliance.
Working in a dynamic, collaborative environment, you will create engaging learning experiences using various modalities including classroom instruction, eLearning, on-the-job training, and virtual delivery methods. Your work will directly impact employee development, operational effectiveness, and ultimately customer success through improved quality and performance.

Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining training materials
- Conducting needs assessments
- Delivering instructor-led training
- Managing learning management system activities
- Tracking metrics, and ensuring training compliance.
You will collaborate across functions to identify knowledge gaps, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement of training programs. You will also embrace emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools and digital learning platforms, to enhance training effectiveness and innovation.
The role requires strong project management abilities, excellent communication skills, and dedication to helping others learn and develop.
REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced Degree, no prior experience required, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in training/development, preferably in pharmaceutical, manufacturing or regulated industry
- Preferred Fields of Study: Education, Instructional Design, Life Sciences, Business, Adult Learning, Organizational Development
- Additional certifications in training/development advantageous
- Demonstrated expertise in learning management systems (LMS) administration and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Camtasia)
- Experience creating and delivering both instructor-led and virtual training content
- Knowledge of GMP, GDP and regulatory requirements in relevant industry
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across functions
- Detail-oriented professional with collaborative mindset
- Openness to AI usage and digital transformation initiatives with willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Ability to work flexible hours to support global operations
